Our ‘sock of the week’ is most definitely our new Women’s March sock, created in collaboration with our most wonderful friend, Emma Philip.
Emma is an extremely talented, Cape Town based Designer and Illustrator who knocks our socks off regularly with her inspiring approach to design. Her aesthetic is completely effortless, communicating a world of beauty in the simplest of ways. So, when Emma approached us at the end of last year about a possible collaboration, the answer was a resounding ‘YES!”
Earlier this year, Emma brought us a few cute designs to choose from, but this Women’s March sock was definitely the fave of the day…and it was a win with our followers too! Not only is it incredibly cute and understated, but we love the message it communicates. And so, we began the process of converting Emma’s dreamy design into a real-life sock in two wonderful colour ways – coral and thyme.
Here’s what Emma had to say about the design:
“Designed in March 2017, these socks are a celebration of women. A little reminder carried by your feet that we, as women, need to stand together. We must love each other, support each other, lift each other up, defend each other, hold each other & empower each other – it will only make us stronger. Whether you have hairy legs, big legs, little legs, smooth legs, black legs or white legs – these socks will give you the best Feat hug you could ask for!”
And we couldn’t agree more!
