Can I buy FEAT. socks if I’m not in South Africa?
Absolutely! We want our socks to make people happy across the globe, so we airmail our socks worldwide. Our socks are priced in South African Rands so international prices are subject to the fluctuating exchange rate. See more about our shipping terms at the bottom of the page.
What is your returns policy?
We have a 30 day returns policy. We want your feet to not only look good, but to feel good too. In the unlikely event that your socks wear thin within a few wears, or you find fault in them fresh from their packaging, please let us know and we will either refund you or send you another pair of your choice. But, it is important to note that these are fashion socks, they are not made for extreme sports, metal-tipped boots or unkept toe-nails.
What are your shipping terms?
We try to make delivery as easy and affordable as possible for our customers. We have the following shipping options dependent on your location:
South Africa – Courier
We use a courier company called Fastway for all local deliveries. We charge a flat rate of R60 per parcel and your socks will wing their way directly to your door within 2-3 working days.This option only applies within South African borders and Fastway only operate during working hours (8am-5pm) on weekdays. Please provide us with a detailed delivery address where there will be someone to receive the parcel between these working hours. Please also provide us with your contact details should the courier need to call you on the day of delivery.
We love sending our adventurous little socks across land and sea! The most affordable way for us to send parcels around the world is via airmail. We do this by charging R80 for the first per pair of socks, and then another R40 for each additional pair (ie. delivery of 1 pair = R80, delivery of 2 pairs = R120, 3 pairs = R160 and so on…). Airmail parcels are sent with the South African Post Office, with their own, individual tracking numbers generated under the SA postage system. However, once they cross borders, they become the responsibility of that country’s national postage system which often means that tracking numbers change.
Via airmail, your parcel should take 15-20 business days to reach you. If it takes any longer please let us know and we will endeavour to track your parcel from our end. If we encounter any trouble tracking the parcel from our end, we will send you your tracking number in an attempt to track it on your side. In the event of delays, we appreciate your patience.
If you live in Cape Town and would prefer to collect your order directly from our offices, please select the ‘Local Pickup’ option. This option is free; however, please take note that we work in the Southern Peninsula. Our address details are as follows:

What happens if my parcel goes missing?
Getting your new favourite pair of socks to you is of utmost importance to us. Therefore, in the event that a parcel goes missing, we acknowledge that it is our responsibility to resend your order to you. For orders within South Africa, if a week goes by and your parcel has not been received/tracked-down, it will be resent to you at no extra charge. If you are an international customer, and you have not yet received your parcel after 4 weeks, we will resend your order to you at no extra charge. Please be aware that these terms are subject to change, dependent on SAPO, but you will be informed of any changes via email upon confirmation of your order.
If a particular style you have ordered has sold out between the time that your order was confirmed, sent and subsequently went missing, please be assured that we will travel across Cape Town visiting all of our retailers to endeavour to source that exact style for you. However, in the event that every last pair has made it’s way to a new home, we will ask you to choose another style in it’s place from our updated sock styles. Please be aware that this is a last resort. We know how disappointing it can be to set your sights on something, only be told you cannot have it.
Where are FEAT. socks made?
All of our socks are made at a sock knitting mill in Cape Town, South Africa. Local production is something we take immense pride in and we promise to always support local industry in the production of our socks.
What are your socks made of?
All of our socks have a yarn composition of 80% cotton, 18% nylon and 2% elastane. The cotton yarns are imported and dyed in Cape Town. Our packaging is made from recycled kraft board and printed at a plant in Cape Town too. We love to recycle, so please return your packaging to us, if you so wish, and we will reuse it where we can.
Why don’t you use bamboo?
When we started our business, we made socks from bamboo too. However, we started to notice that the delicate yarn couldn’t withstand the pressure of our highly detailed designs and were fraying/falling apart in the wash. We don’t know about you, but we don’t feel like socks should have to be hand washed, that’s too much trouble. While bamboo is beautiful and soft to wear, we understood that our valued customers were more excited by our fun designs and the fact that they kept their quality over the years. And so, we made a judgement call and decided to move to cotton. It’s great on the feet, far more durable and washing machine friendly.
How do the sizes work?
In South Africa, we use a British shoe sizing system and so our socks are sized this way. Our women’ socks are a UK size 4-7, which we like to call our ‘Ladies’ one size fits most’. And our men’s socks are a UK size 8-11, or, a ‘Men’s one size fits most’. Here is what these sizes mean in different parts of the world:
Europe: Ladies’ 37-41 | Men’s 42-46
USA/Canada: Ladies’ 5-8 | Men’s 9-12
China: Ladies’ 37.5-42 | Men’s 43-47
Australia: Ladies’ 7-11 | Men’s 8-11
Japan: Ladies’ 22.5-25.5 | Men’s 26-29.5
Do you make secret socks?
We love our designs and we don’t want them to be a secret. We hope you feel the same. As it is a huge part of our business model to make our socks the feature of an outfit, we have no desire to hide them. That said, we don’t make secret socks.
Are there any other designs that we can’t see on your online store?
Once again, we don’t keep secrets. We make sure that all of our sock designs are available to you on our online store. In the case of any exclusive ranges that we have promised to sell in one or a few places only, we will let you know how you can get hold of them. Please keep in mind that we are still a small, start-up with the aim of growing steadily but sustainably, but you won’t have to wait long to see new designs.
How often do you bring out new designs?
Our aim is to keep things fresh and exclusive, so we bring out new designs as frequently as possible, but only in minimum runs. We offer at least 4 new designs every 2 months. Sign up to our mailing list or follow us on our social media channels to get the latest news on upcoming styles.
Do you make custom socks to order?
We love to help you create your own custom designs; however, because we outsource manufacture, we have to work within our manufacturers minimums. A minimum run is 500 pairs of one design, and this design can either be split into 2 colour ways OR two sizes. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you’d like to use our ‘custom’ service.
Do you offer socks for corporate gifting?
No doubt about it! Our socks can really brighten up a boardroom. You can select from our existing range and pay our wholesale price for orders larger than 20 pairs. Alternatively, if you would like to create your own design with company branding, we can make it happen! Please bear in mind that we have to work within our manufacturers minimums of 500 pairs of one design which can be split into two colourways OR two sizes.
