While ‘Boss Lady’ was doing her thing at the Pulse 2017 trade show in London, I had to ensure that FEAT. sock co. ran smoothly until she returned.
In my two week experience of being in charge at the FEAT. sock co. headquarters, customer service was my top priority. I had two mantra’s I lived by :
- ” Customer is KING”
- ” Customer is always right”
This particular customer called and emailed to kindly requested whether we might consider opening up the shop for collection on Saturday because he had completely forgotten to pick up his order during the working week. The tights were a Mother’s Day gift for his wife and Mother’s Day was on Sunday.
Now, I thought to myself, as a business we had done our part; not to mention that my favourite football team was playing on Saturday and all I wanted was to enjoy the match and one or two ice-cold beverages. But inevitably, my conscience said “Customer is KING”, and I agreed to open up on Saturday – our relationship with our customers is not just transactional, it’s a long-term relationship that we try our best to maintain.
Any business exists because of it’s customers and I believe that satisfying them should be the sole purpose of being in business. I loved my two ‘managerial’ weeks and most enjoyed interacting with our most valued stakeholder YOU THE CUSTOMER. Thank you for the support!
