GIRLS SUPPORT GIRLS

If you're a woman, you'll likely know the joy of female friendships. Welcoming your friend in for tea, to chat about life and catch-up about relationships, work and exciting new developments, or simply processing some of life's challenges together and gaining advice and wisdom from one another, is one of the beautiful things about being a woman. There's nothing quite like knowing you have the love and support of your close friends. And there's something quite unique about the feedback a friend like this can give...loaded with equal measures of honesty and kindness, empathy and love. I'm not sure if any of you remember the cutest little cousin duo, Sophia Grace (8) and Rosie (5) who became internet famous in...

TREASURE HUNTER RANGE

- By Chelsey Wilson - Our latest funky sock range, entitled 'Treasure Hunter', is one of our most special to date. Not only does this sock range reflect some beautiful imagery, but it speaks more generally about our brand as a whole. We won't draw this journal post out with too many wordy details, as we have this wonderful animation below to tell you what it's all about, so be sure to give it a watch! Our sock company began...

I'm from Lavender Hill, which is in Retreat, Cape Town, South Africa. I matriculated at the end of 2011, from Steenberg High School, were Athletics was one of the biggest priorities....

A NEW "BUZZING BEE" IN THE FEAT. SOCK CO. SHOP.

- By Shakiera Stemmet - So, as previous blogposts were by Sima, Kaylin and Chelsey (aka. 'Boss Lady', as Sima would say), I, Shakiera, am the new blogger on board! I am so blog excited. I'm not "Shakira Shakira" of 'Hips don't lie')...it's the ordinary, young lady that joined the FEAT. sock co. family in December 2018. I've been warmly welcomed by Chelsey and Storme (Chelsey's assistant), and I love it here! Today, I have already been part of FEAT. sock co. for two months. I'm working in their cute, sock shop in Muizenberg, Cape Town, as an intern until March 2019 (when Storme has to sadly leave us to journey off on her teaching adventures and I take on a...

COLLABS ARE FUN!

- By Chelsey Wilson - At FEAT. sock co., 'collaboration' is a well-used word. We collaborate as much as we can, not only because we love it, but because we believe it's a foundational value that grows small businesses, challenges creativity, and opens up new avenues to expand our skills and fields of opportunity. Through the collaboration process, we get to make new friends and learn from fellow designers and illustrators who we might not have crossed paths with before. The friendship though, that's one of my favourite parts! It was through collaboration that I had a sleeper couch to stay on, on a recent trip to Hamburg. And it was through collaboration, that I had the most marvellous tour...
